First of all, I'd like to wish my sister-in-law Shayla a happy birthday! Sorry I am a day late. :/ The Internet was down all day yesterday...
Last night, we had the missionaries over to meet Tara and what not. The whole family sat with Tara and the missionaries, and they taught Tara her first discussion. It was POWERFUL. The Spirit was so strong, and I know Tara could feel it, too. Tara said the closing prayer (her FIRST prayer, might I add), and I was so proud of her!
It was definitely one of the greatest experiences I've ever had as a friend, and I look forward to continuing to work with Tara. The missionaries are coming back Friday night, and I am looking forward to it! :) Tara is also planning on coming to church with us on Sunday, and I am excited for that, too.
Keep me, the missionaries, and Tara in your prayers. :)

Provo's Decision
Today has sure been an emotional one for me.
Late last night, Provo finally filled me in on my decision: declined.
Ever since I was in middle school, I've always dreamed of going to BYU for college. When I hit high school, I wanted to go even more.
And while this is a very sad thing for me, I realize that I could have worked harder and it's really no one's fault but mine that I am not happy about Provo's decision.
With that--I am glad to finally know where I will be going after my mission, and it'll be nice to finally get back to BYU-Idaho to let them know that I will be attending their school.

New Desktop Background
I made this one last night. Timmy and his friends and really weird, and they like to yell "TWO BLADES!!" and "TWO SWORDS!!" while walking onto campus after seminary.
Well, the two lines stuck with me, and Timmy and I have been saying them back to each other a lot the last couple of days. Yeah, I know--we are weirdos. But it is a sign of our friendship. And so I made a background!

Trip To Provo
First of all, I want to apologize to everyone (especially my Mom) for not filling anyone in on my trip to Provo for the BYU vs. Wyoming basketball game. It was a last-minute thing that my friends and I decided to do, and we were only there on Saturday, and then we came home today.
But it was a lot of fun! It was good to take a tour of the whole campus and to see what I hope is a future home of mine. I've never been one of those Mormon kids who worships Utah and thinks it is the best place ever, but I really do like Provo. Hopefully we hear good news from them this month. :)
My good friend Tara really liked Provo as well, and she came to church with us this morning. Although we were visiting a ward with a bunch of people I didn't know, I felt impressed to go up and bare my testimony because it was Tara's first time to church. :) It was sweet! Tara told me she enjoyed my testimony, and then she told me that she really wants to transfer to BYU after starting out at UNLV. :) I am grateful for friends like Tara, and I hope she continues to show interest in the Gospel and what not!
Well, here are some pics for everyone to enjoy! :) (P.S. KT, I am sorry I wasn't able to call you last week. It was one of my busier weeks!! :/ )

This is the room Scott, Walter, and I stayed at (at Scott's cousin's house). There was a futon, three love sacs, and a projector. It was sweet!
