Leroi Moore (1961-2008)

Leroi Moore--Dave Matthews Band's saxophonist--unexpectedly passed away earlier today. On June 30, Leroi Moore was in a serious ATV accident on his farm in Virginia. The news is shocking to everyone because he was continually doing better.

The following is what was said on davematthewsband.com:

"We are deeply saddened that LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program."

I have a feeling that the Dave Matthews Band will be no more after this summer. Leroi Moore was a big part of their team, and I just can't see them going on without him. I am going to miss Roi and his talent, but I know he is in a better place.
